Delete your account
You can delete your account yourself from inside the app. You can also request deletion here, without reinstalling the app.
From inside the app
- Open the app
- Go to Settings
- Choose Delete my account
- Confirm
The moment you confirm, your access ends, any open session closes and deletion begins.
If you cannot reach the app
Write to info@useimhere.com from the email address registered to your account and ask for your account to be deleted. We may ask you for a few details so we can verify it is you. We respond within one month at the latest.
What is deleted
- Your sign-in record and email address
- Your profile: name, the text you wrote about yourself, date of birth, gender, occupation
- Your profile photo file
- Your location records and sessions
- Requests you sent and received
- Your continue decisions
- The contact details you shared
- Your operation records
What remains
When you delete your account, your messages remain in the chat on the phone of the person you spoke to. Your name, photo and profile are deleted and they can no longer reach you — but the text of what you wrote is part of their own chat history, so it is not deleted.
Those messages do not stay forever either: they are deleted 30 days after the chat stops being writable.
We do not tell you that the other side's copies were deleted, and we make no such promise.
If there is an open report involving you, your identity fields in that file are not deleted but replaced with a pseudonym, so a safety review can continue. We state the limits of that pseudonym plainly in section 7 of the Privacy Policy.
